Cedar Ridge Plantation
Built in 1834, has been lovingly restored and is now open for guests.
From downtown Marion, proceed north on Washington street in front of the County Courthouse approximately one mile. At the fork in the road, takethe right on county Road 7. Cedar Ridge Plantation is the first drive to the right.
One of the oldest homes in Perry County, Cedar Ridge still has several of the original outbildings – including the mule barn, carriage house, feed barn, smoke house and slave house. The three bedroom, two story home is located on 10 wooded acres and adjacent to hundreds of privately owned wooded land. Just one mile from the courthouse in downtown Marion – convenient to Judson College, Marion Military Institute, and shopping in unique antique stores of Marion.
There is a fully equipped, modern kitchen, one and a half baths, and central heat and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable and relaxing get away. If you want to step back to a simpler time and place, then Cedar Ridge is the place to stay.
When reserving Cedar Ridge Plantation you will be reserving the entire home. The three bedrooms ( one down and two upstairs), parlor, and dining room will be available to you, as well as the fullu equipped kitchen.
Breakfast food will be provided for your own preparation to fit your schedule, or can be prepared for you at a small additional price. Snacks andrefreshments will also be provided.
There are several trails for walking, outbuildings open for your education and enjoyment, or just pick a rocking chair on one of the three porches and watch for deer, birds, and other wildlife.
